Where it began
In 2010 Pastor Stephen took his first trip to Rwanda. It was there that God gave him a love for the people of Rwanda. Almost every other year following 2010 Stephen raised funds to go and share the gospel to the people of Rwanda. With the help of Parfait Karekezi and his ministry, Stephen has been able to reach thousands of widows and orphans and millions over the radio preaching the good news.
How it Started
In December 2022, while planning a trip to Rwanda, Stephen felt led to ask Parfait about planting a church. Parfait had long desired to, but lacked the right partner. By February 2023, with support from Send Me International and donors, Stephen and Malinda joined him in purchasing an abandoned church to share the gospel in Rwanda.
How it is Going
At the time that we bought the church it was completely abandoned and had no roof, no windows and was just 4 brick walls with plants and grass growing inside. Today with the help of so many, we have installed concrete floors, built a stage, installed a roof, added doors and windows, and made it a place for God to move in this beautiful community. We estimate that the church would be able to accommodate 300-350 people. Our church went from being an eye sore for the community to the best looking building in the town.
Vision for the Future
We cannot express to you what an amazing miracle it has been to come as far as we have in just a year! With your help, Parfait and, most importantly, The Holy Spirit we have accomplished so much in such a short time. Our Vision for the future is to partner with and develop a nationwide ministry with the emphasis on church planting. With Gods guidance and your help, we can accomplish this amazing vision to plant more churches in Rwanda for the Kingdom of God!
